The modern-day civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s is one of the most stirring chapters in American history. The civil rights trail covers many states of the USA, we have concentrated on the places where pioneers of the civil rights movements fought for freedom. Our tours are centred around the state of Alabama, but can be tailored to your requirements should you wish to visit other states or key places of interest.

Stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Mississippi River, from the Rio Grande to the border of Canada – 2,168,930 square miles of extraordinary landscape.

There are many legends and films that tell the story of the American West, but how much of it is true is the big question? When you start to study this vast subject you will learn that Christopher Columbus made his famous voyage across the Atlantic in 1492, how the American West was formed, how over 3 million Native Americans were displaced and finally how the USA became the most powerful nation of the modern world.

We have centred our tour around the Mid West states, but tours can be tailored to your requirements.

Historians usually judge the Vietnam War to be one of the most important conflicts of the twentieth century. During the nine years of official American involvement in the Vietnam War over two million Vietnamese and 58,219 Americans lost their lives.

The victorious Vietnamese communists inherited a country that had been ravaged by 30 years of constant warfare. The infrastructure of a nation lay in ruins and millions of refuges wandered the battered countryside.

Our tour have been designed not only to give the students a insight to the Vietnam War, but to see how the country has re-built itself to become
one of the most intoxicating places on earth, it’s a kaleidoscope of vivid colours and subtle shades of exotic sights and curious sounds, of compelling history and contrasting cultures.

"Apartheid" literally means 'apartness' and it represented the laws and oppressive system which kept Africans in an inferior position to whites for centuries.

Most of us grew up thinking that the Apartheid movement was about Nelson Mandela and the ANC struggle against the South Africa government in the 80s & 90s. In fact the struggle started much earlier in 1913.

Seventy seven years later, at 4pm on the 10th February 1990, "Rolihlahla" Mr Nelson Mandela the leader of the African National Congress was finally released from the Victor Verster Prison, Paarl at the age of Seventy-One after 10,000 days of imprisonment. The rest is history that ultimately changed South African for ever!

Our tours have been designed to take you to some of the key areas of the History of South Africa and the Apartheid campaign, the history that changed the way the world today looks upon South Africa (The Rainbow Nation).

One of the greatest true stories ever told is the battle of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift, but how much of its true and its web of deception continue to this present day. History tells us on the 22 January 1879, Lieutenant-General Lord Chelmsford, the General Officer Commanding Her Majesty’s forces in Southern Africa had his entire column of 1,300 British soldiers of the 24th Regiment, there equipment, horses and cattle slaughtered at the Battle of Isandlwana by the advancing Zulu army, armed only with spears and shields.

But hours later, a small group of 100 British soldiers Commanded by Lieutenant John Rouse Merriott Chard (Royal Engineers) and Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead (B co. 24th Regiment) successfully defend the mission hospital at Rorke’s Drift for 12 hours against 4000 Zulu soldiers. Eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded, the largest number of Victoria Crosses awarded to a regiment for one action.
